| 1803: | The secularized Dompropstei changes into the possession of the realm city Augsburg, which sells her 1804. |
| 1858: | To the earlier Dompropstei a memorial tablet is attached, which reminds of the builder and of the visits of the emperor Maximilians I. |
| 1895: | The association “catholic casino” furnishes guest rooms in the former Dompropstei. |
| 1919: | Josef Dietrich leases the former cathedral. He is the large and/or great-grandfather of the today’s owners Gerd and Josef Illig. The house is called at that time “Goldene Glocke”. |
| 1941: | Josef Dietrich acquires the “Goldene Glocke”. |
| 1946: | The hotel in the 1944 hit by bombs former Dompropstei is again developed. |
| 1972: | The “Goldene Glocke” is renamed in “Dom Hotel” |
| 2008: | The “Dom Hotel” can look back on 500-years of house history. |
| 2010: | The facade of the “Dom Hotel” is being renovated and awarded by the Friedrich-Prince Foundation of the City of Augsburg. Award certificate facades 2010 |
| 2011 – 2013: | An energy concept was developed for the entire building. As a result, the roof area in the oldest part of the Dom Hotel was renovated and all other roof areas were refurbished to improve energy efficiency. |
| 2013: | Installation of a combined heat and power plant and a digital heating control system. |
| 2014 – 2016: | Over the years, numerous rooms throughout the hotel have been renovated and the historic courtyard has been repaved. |
| 2017 – 2018: | Other rooms in the hotel have been renovated, a new garage exit, a luggage room and new toilet facilities have been built. |
| 2019 – 2020: | During these years, the maisonettes and the rooms below were completely renovated and equipped with cooling ceilings, and the lift systems were brought up to date. |
| 2021 – 2022: | During the period in question, work continued on the cooling/heating concept and the associated building management system. |
| 2022 – 2023: | After a lengthy approval process, a photovoltaic system, a corresponding electricity storage unit and wall boxes were installed, and the cooling system was put into operation in parts of the Dom Hotel. |
| 2024 – 2025: | The guest rooms in another part of the building were completely renovated and equipped with air conditioning. |
| 2026 – … | Further renovations, energy efficiency improvements to our hotel and much more are planned or in the pipeline. The next generation of our family is currently training to ensure that your stay at our hotel continues to be a special experience in the future. |
